The short version
FeedRound does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no cookies and no analytics of any kind.
This policy covers the FeedRound app on Google Play and the App Store, and the FeedRound website. FeedRound is made by Orlin Limited, a New Zealand company.
What the app stores
The figures you type (cover, residual, paddock size, cow numbers, allocation, and the mob and paddock names) are saved on your own device so the app still has them next time you open it: in the app's own storage if you installed it from a store, or in your browser's storage if you use the website. That data:
- stays on your device;
- is never sent to us or to anyone else;
- is not visible to the developer;
- is deleted when you tap Clear all fields, clear the app's data, uninstall it, or clear your browser storage for the site.
The installed app makes no network connections at all, and the website needs one only to load the page the first time. That is the plainest evidence that nothing is being sent anywhere.
Sharing a note
When you tap Share or Copy, the note is handed to your phone's own share sheet or clipboard. You choose where it goes. The app has no part in that beyond producing the text, and it keeps no record of it.
The website
The website is served as static files over HTTPS. The host may keep standard web server logs (such as IP address and requested file) as part of delivering the page. This is ordinary web hosting, not something the app does, and those logs are not used to identify anyone.
App stores
If you install FeedRound from Google Play or the App Store, Google or Apple handle the download and may collect information such as install and crash reports under their own privacy policies. That is part of using their store, not something FeedRound does, and we do not use it to identify you.
If you contact us
If you email us, we keep your email and our reply so we can help you, and delete them once they are no longer needed. We never add you to a mailing list.
Children
The app is a farm tool intended for adults. It collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
You can ask us what information we hold about you (for the app, the answer is none) or make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
